Dance Season 2009 The company Guelassemon urges forgiveness 13/02/2009
The dance season 2009 is well underway at the Palace of Culture. After the passage of the Company on Kagnondé Hall stage Niangoran Porquet first band to open the season with his creation "Lossitôt" (meaning language Atchan CO te d'Ivoire "on our way"), which will also be presented at upcoming Francophone Games in Beirut, Lebanon, Friday, February 13, 2009 was the turn of the Company Guelassemon unpacking his treasures and know-how. The creation by Guelassemon is titled "Forgiveness." It looks at the life of Jesus Christ and his passion. For this company, it is important, given the crisis situation experienced by Côte d'Ivoire, to invite men to peace. The show begins choreography by a table which refers to the mythical dawn of humanity seen through the prism of Judeo-Christian beliefs. The man and woman (Adam and Eve) violate the ban. They unite and give birth to their offspring. Begins the difficult existence of the human sailing between joy and sorrow. Oppositions and conflicts also furnish life. Occurs one day a messiah who brings joy and peace to men. But soon, he is silenced. Only look for this incredible man back to life. He brings happiness. His message? That people love and stop infighting. To bring this show Guelassemon will draw on the achievements of dance heritage (at the corner of a step, we guess the Cô ; te d'Ivoire tradition) and contemporary dance to the rhythm of drums and flute, accompanying also pastoral songs.
