2nd edition of The Top Range Claudy Siar honors Sidiki Bakaba 17/01/2009
What would human life if the art did not exist? Life in its various manifestations does it not often in the eyes of ordinary mortals, like a beautiful work of art patiently and beautifully designed and stamped by God? Therefore, what more natural that the artist is considered a kind of demiurge, that it seems to add life to life. The artist is a creator of worlds. It was with this perception of the role that the artist plays in society, the Ivorian Office of Copyright (BURIDA) initiated in 2008 the 1st edition of The Top of the Range. It is a ceremony to honor and reward the artists having Côte d'Ivoire, the most beautiful way, illustrated in their discipline during the year. The 2nd edition of The Top of the Range was held January 17, 2009 at the Palais de la Culture in Abidjan attended by some members Government (including the Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Augustin Kouadio Komoé, who chaired the ceremony), and multiple personalities. Serving as master ceremony with the journalist Awa Ehoura Ivorian Television, host of Radio France International, Claudy Siar, has, in short, paid tribute to Sidiki Bakaba, Director Gen ral Palace of Culture in Abidjan, also listed among the VIPs to the ceremony. "Then he led a peaceful and rich career in France and in Europe, Sidiki Bakaba generously responded to the call of his country which he has entrusted the delicate task of giving life to the Palace of Culture in Abidjan. A task which he performs admirably. So can we summarize the tribute to Claudy Siar Sidiki Bakaba. These words were even more profound and sincere they were from a person coming from beyond the borders of Côte d'Ivoire and is known very attached to current music and African and Caribbean culture.
